Hampton Court Palace

We had a busy day Saturday!  After the borough market we headed to Hampton Court Palace, one of Henry VIII's palaces.  We didn't think the kids would make it through a tour of the inside, so we stuck to the gardens and the maze :)  Pretty grounds on the Thames!

Off to get on another train!  Truett is so independent these days and wants to do everything by himself and first!  This can cause a major meltdown if it doesn't happen...but most of the time we get to see this sweet happy face :)  He likes to carry my oyster card in his pocket and swipe it all by himself :)

Just had to get this one in here!  This is the bathroom we use every time we go to Waterloo!  You can buzz in and they will unlock it for you for free (if you are disabled or have a baby).  Otherwise you have to have exact 30p in change to use the toilet down the stairs!

Killing time while waiting on our train :)

Too bad we haven't been able to go to Ascot! :)

The kids are in constant motion on our travels!!  Glad I just brought the little camera with me that day because we had our hands full (full of good things of course!!) :)

Brylie took this picture!

Daddy took this one!

Truett was pretty whiny on this ride.  I'm only half smiling :)

We finally arrived!  The kids watched the boats along the Thames.  That is the palace in the background...

Geoff held Truett the whole time!  You can't be too careful with this kid and water!  (On a side note, the kids will finally be getting swimming lessons this summer for the first time!)

Ice cream!

We walked around the gardens - so beautiful here!!  We will definitely miss all the pretty gardens back home...

The kids loved running through the tall grass!

Brylie found the maze entrance...

There were voices coming from the bushes :)

We spent most of our time in the maze chasing down one of the kids or shouting "Stop!  Slow down!  Stay together!  Where are you?!" :)

These two clowns :)  I am so thankful to have a husband that will be silly with the kids and make us laugh! :)

Sweet Brys :)

They couldn't get over this tall grass...it was funny.

Beautiful!  I guess this is London's reward for the constant rain :)

So just to be "real" for a minute and show a behind the scenes pic.  Not everything is happy and smiley!  Geoff and I were tired...Brylie was backwashing in the water...Truett was crying because the lid didn't work...ha!

But then I bribed everyone with the cupcakes we bought earlier at the market!  Yes, they already had ice cream, but not to worry.  The cupcakes were terrible and no one really ate them anyway!! :(

There is the fam sitting down at the other end with our loaded down stroller :)

Big tree.  Little boy.
