Poor Geoff has been so swamped with work! He ended up having to go into the office on Saturday so Sunday we decided to head out to Windsor and to Legoland! :) It was somewhat last minute (since we had originally planned to go Saturday) so we didn't plan ahead and get tickets to Windsor castle - of course when we arrived the line was way too long to wait - lesson learned! I'm sure we will be back at some point and can have a look inside :) We walked around Windsor though and grabbed a bite to eat before heading to Legoland (just a 5 minute taxi ride away). Brylie had a great time and we had fun spending some quality time together! Truett did so well and didn't have one crying fit the whole day - yay! :) Also, we went all day without getting rained on and about 5 minutes after we walked in the door at home it started pouring and has been raining on and off ever since - whew!
Geoff asked me why I always take pictures of us on the train - because I think it's fun! :) And it is funny to see how awake and happy we are before the trip starts - ha!

First view of Windsor stepping out of the train station (with the castle in the background) - cute!

Windsor Royal Shopping...we ate some lunch at a little cafe...looked like some of the same shops they have here in Wimbledon

This is a close up of part of the castle...notice all the little heads and their expressions - thought it was funny!

Too crowded to go inside...we were wondering why all those people were just sitting around?? They didn't have the changing of the guards that day?

Too much excitement

Finally here after weeks of talking it up!

There were a lot of little figures all over the park made from Legos - Brylie is trying to pose like this one :)

Stacey and Wyatt, Brylie wanted you guys to see this one!

Isn't this clever to build slides on the stairs for the kids?

Another one Brylie was excited to show to Stacey and Wyatt!

View of the Lego mini land from above...they had different cities, etc. all built from the tiny Legos

Close up of the "mini" London

I was terrified for Brylie to ride this, but Geoff promised he would keep her safe. She is not scared of anything!!

She cried and cried when they had to get off and wanted to do it again!

Every kids dream - to be in a large vat of Legos! :) We probably could have just stayed here all day...

Lego Thomas, of course

This guy played the guitar and tapped his foot :)

More Lego figures...

I should have taken a close up of this plane -so many little Legos - even the little clear ones to make the windows! (yes, I'm a nerd)

No trip to an amusement park is complete without ice cream!

That looks so fun!! I think we may need to go there when we come visit, too. :)
So fun. I was just looking at this with Stacey (Wyatt is still napping) and he said, "I wish I could go to London so I could go there. " and " Yep, she's right I would love to see that one!" about the blue robot. Then he was concerned that Brylie was not big enough to be playing with all those little legos. :) Fun pictures, I'm sure we'll look at it again when Wy wakes up.
That is soooo cool! I think I would have as much fun there as the kiddos. I have a renewed love for Legos since having two boys!
Also, I loved the video of your house from a while back...the decor reminded me of the postpartum rooms at Presby Dallas (before they remodeled.) So lovely ;-)
