We headed to Denver for the fourth of July...so nice to get out of Texas for a while and enjoy the Colorado weather! (mostly...more on that below) We stayed with our friends, The Wiebes...thank you guys so much!! We can't wait to go back! Might have to make it a new summer tradition ;)
First, Amy and I had to get pedicures! :)
All the cute kiddos
Red Rocks...would be so fun to see a concert here!
Brylie loved flashing the peace sign in every picture ;)
Then we headed a little ways down the road to climb on some other red rocks!
(Wouldn't that be a cool house to live in??)
Then we went to Golden to check out the cute town and grab some lunch :)
Notice the "Coors" in the background? We never did drink any, but tried some other local brews!
The river was so full! (That was a sidewalk at the bottom...)
The river walk was so pretty!
Relaxing at the house...
We had some rainy weather so we drove up Mt. Evans for an awesome view!
Then we went down to the town for a little dip in the Indian hot springs. We also took turns in the mineral mud baths!
Afterwards we had the most delicious pizza at Beaujo's...yum! And had some good beer too from Tommy Knockers....perfect way to spend a rainy day!
On the fourth we took the train downtown to check out the sites and have dinner.
We ended up getting caught in a crazy rain/hail/wind storm and were completely soaked!! We finally made it into the REI for cover and we had to buy all new *dry* clothes! It was a life experience ;) Here is the before...
Me having to get the tag removed at the REI checkout because I put all the clothes on in the dressing room ;)
And here is the after! Walking advertisements :)
The girls liked the painted toenails ;)
On the way to the airport to head home...
...and on the airplane...such a fun trip! :)
