Spring Break Disney Cruise

We took the kids on a Disney cruise this year over Spring Break and everyone had a great time!  Nannie and Big and Sarah joined us for a magical experience!  Disney did a great job and we would recommend it!  Get ready for a long post :)

We spent the first day and night in Ft. Lauderdale to kick off the festivities!  We told the kids the night before we left that we were going somewhere, but they didn't know where...they figured out it was Florida when we got to the airport and thought we would be at the resort all week ;)

Time to start relaxing!

Brylie loves the beach so much!!  She played and played :)

Truett loved it too but isn't a strong swimmer yet so he stayed mostly on shore :)

They had a lot of jellyfish that afternoon, yikes! (see the blue bubbles)

Brylie's collection

The weather was perfect!  Warm enough to swim, but not too hot!

We walked along the boardwalk to dinner...

Good seafood!  Love to eat fresh fish on the coast! (Brylie is pretending to be the shrimp in the picture)

They don't know who Forest Gump is, but they liked the restaurant anyway! :)

The kids always had entertainment while waiting on their meals (on and off the boat!)

Swimming in the resort pool...the kids loved it and always made friends! :)

The next morning we woke the kids up and told them we were going on a Disney cruise!!  The surprises kept coming ;)  They were thrilled!  Aunt Sarah made these cute shirts :)

We had a balcony off our room and presents waiting for the kids from Nana and Papa! :)

Nannie ordered these cute magnets for our doors...all along the deck people had different ones...they were fun!

Somehow "Steve" was thrown in with their order :)  So we just put him up on the door anyway thinking he might find us, ha! ;)

Mickey ketchup!  The food was great all week!

The kids had bunks in the stateroom and loved it!  Until Brylie fell off the top on the last night...oops!

First port stop was at Disney's private island, Castaway Cay!  It was such a fun day at the beach!  Not crowded...great weather...good food...Disney does a great job! :)

It was fun to see all the characters on and off the boat!

Donald Duck :)

That was our boat, the Disney Wonder, behind Geoff :)

Wrangling this boy :)

Pluto!

Minnie!

Comparing shoes ;)

We rented snorkel gear and Brylie got to see some sting rays and fish!  She took to it right away!

Truett made a friend and played with him all afternoon building sand castles :)

Soaking it up!

Green shirts!

We need to wean these kids off ketchup ;)

Our beach bum ;)

Heading back with a little sunburned and sandy bottom ;)

We had an early seating (5:45pm) for dinner each night with the same two friendly waiters :)

My sweet boy :)

Mickey gave a show one night before dessert!

Geoff and I just closed the curtains at bedtime and the kids had their own little space :)

Sunset

Night swimming at the Mickey pool :)

Next port stop was Nassau Bay in the Bahamas!  Here we had another surprise for Brylie!  Sarah and I took her to swim with dolphins while the others all scattered for different activites :)  She was beyond excited and loved every second of it!! :)

Taking the ferry to the dolphins!

We had to get up early that morning!

We passed Atlantis on the way.  Nannie and Big went on a tour here while we swam with the dolphins...the boys played on the boat :)

I thought she was going to burst with excitement!  I'm so glad we were able to share this experience with her!

Heading back to our boat...all the cruise ships lined up!

Swim time on board!

They have a nice setup where you can get a ticket time to meet the characters...no lines!  So they had Elsa and Ana in this separate room...Brylie loved meeting them!

Truett was excited to meet Mickey!!

That night the whole boat had a pirate party and everyone dressed up!  Arg!

Sarah brought these fun flash tattoos and we all put some on! ;)

Pirate party on deck!

Monkey towel :)

Just a little Disney on everything...fun!

More princesses to meet!

That sweet profile :)

Ha!  Even Truett got a sneaky princess hug! :)

Mickey waffles ;)

Yummy seafood!  The kids think peel and eat shrimp is hilarious!

Sunbathing cutie!

She loves her Daddy!

Good bye boat!!

We got up early that morning to disembark and get all of our luggage...

...but the good news is that we had a whole other day and night back at the resort to relax and play before flying home!

The hotel gave the kids these turtles and Truett was so funny playing with his in the water!  He loved it!

She can hardly stand still for a second to take a picture....cannot miss any beach time! :)

Body surfing!

The fam!

Seashell castle!

So fun but time to go home!  "Do we have to go home?" "When do we get back on the boat?" ;)
