"Why is everyone trying to celebrate Christmas already?! Don't they know we have Thanksgiving first??!"...Yes, Brylie you are right! (See American consumerism). Anyway, we jumped on board and started the holiday festivities by checking out the Arboretum's new exhibit, "12 Days of Christmas"! It was freezing outside!! But it just made it more fun to see all lit up at night :) Each gazebo was decorated like one of the twelve days and rotated/moved and played music. They were all so pretty and the kids loved chasing each other to find each one! It was hard to get good pictures in the dark, but here are some to give you an idea...:)
On the first day of Christmas my true love gave to me...a partridge in a pear tree!
12 drummers drumming!
The gazebos are spread out around the park...
5 golden rings :)
7 swans a-swimming...
8 maids a-milking!
4 calling birds :)
3 french hens
2 turtle doves
Hot chocolate! :)
We even stopped and listened to some caroling :) When they were finished Truett pointed and winked at the young gentleman and said "I hope you have the merriest Christmas ever!" ;)
