Both kids started soccer last week and they had their first games on Saturday! They both did a great job and we were proud of them for trying something new (this was their first time on a team sport!). I think the games will be even more enjoyable when it is less than 104 outside! ;)
Here she is ready to play! :) Her team is Madrid/Soccerellas
"Brylie Futbol" (You Aggies will understand!)
So the first few minutes she had some anxiety ;) We encouraged her to suck it up and get in line! This is fun! :)
She quickly got over it and got in the mix of things! I think the next game she will do even better!
The other team was GOOD. I mean, passing to each other and everything! It was fun to see the girls out there learning the sport and having fun! They don't keep score or have a ref at this age...all about having a good time :)
So they split the team up and really have two different games going on at the same time so they get to play more...you can see the other half playing behind her :)
Tower of parents at the end of the game! As a side note...you will notice the other girls have their first name on the jerseys. The girl at the Sports place told me that everyone puts their last name...guess not on this team! We told her it was "very cool" to have Woodbury :)
Now for Truet's turn! Ok. So we totally underestimated this little dude!! He got out there and led the pack (it is funny to watch them all crowd around the ball and travel in a herd!)! The coach called him a monster :)
He came over for a water break and poured his water bottle on his head like a teenager, ha!
Aren't they cute??
Nannie and Big came out to support both games!! Thank you guys enduring the heat to cheer them on! :)
He was a powerhouse ;)
First goal!
She went over and gave Truett some "tips" at one point...since she picked up so many skills after her first game ;)
Goal 2! :)
Can't wait for the next game!! (His cleats should be in by then)
