For a while we had noticed that Truett did not get very good sleep. He snored a lot and tossed and turned. This also made him moody and whiny during the day. So after a trip to the ENT, the doctor said we must take those tonsils and adenoids out! Evidently they were huge and this would make a big difference!
So about a month ago he had his surgery...the Children's hosptial took great care of him and said he was a model patient. Just what we like to hear!
Showing us his big tonsils before we went in!
He was excited to be wearing new pajamas :)
Happy watching a video while he waited!
And then the effects of the "silly juice" kicked in...:)
Geoff and I waited in this little room right outside of recovery. For about 20 minutes while he was in surgery we heard all of the other children screaming and crying as they woke up. I prayed that Truett would not wake up like that!! By the time they came to get us my nerves were shot :) But thankfully he woke up and didn't cry one bit! He had two popsicles, then asked to go to the bathroom. Then he drank a whole gatorade and Daddy asked if we could leave (he just loves hospitals...sarcasm). So we were off in much less than the two-hour post recovery time!
Happy Mommy that he was content :)
Having some juice on the way home. Everything went great and he sleeps so much better now! He is a much happier kiddo in general and it was so worth it! :)
