First Annual London Lights (Fail)

We wanted to start a new tradition this year that we decided to call "London Lights."  Our plan was to pick a night that our family would cook British food and then go look at Christmas lights together.  We thought it would be a fun way to remember our times in London.  Well, this year we didn't quite have it all together...Geoff did his best trying to find some Londony type things at the store...the kids were sick and miserable...the food was barely edible...FAIL!  But not to worry, I have big plans to do it in style next year ;)

Geoff found this ginger beer at Central Market...it was NOT the British kind :) (Where is a Marks and Spencer when you need one???).  We also couldn't find mulled wine?

Extreme close up of Toad in the Hole.  This did not turn out nearly the same as when we made it across the pond...maybe because we didn't use bangers?

Glad I made these for a side...a family favorite (not exactly British), but at least we had something good to eat!  The kids didn't even want to go look at lights after dinner so it was medicine and bed for all! :)
