Weekend activities

Friday night Brylie's school had a fireworks fundraiser. It was a little chilly, but the show turned out to be pretty good! They sold little cakes and hot dogs and drinks and all the kids with their families got to mingle and enjoy the show! Plus we could just walk home right down the street which continues to be a huge bonus for us!! :) (These pictures aren't necessarily the best - just trying to capture the moments while juggling two little ones, a double stroller, and all their "stuff" so not much time to play with the camera!)

Saturday we had some shopping to do and headed towards Oxford street. We just took the train into Waterloo and decided to walk. On the way we stopped and had lunch on the South bank where they had the real food market (best organic burgers and Kahlua brownies ever!!). Sorry, no pics! We continued towards Trafalgar square. We were quite the tourists amongst the rest of the crowd!! We joked about how it was an all day event just to run a few errands in the city :) So I took a few "touristy" pics along the way!

They had the NFL fan party in Trafalgar square for the game this weekend and it was funny to watch their interpretation of American football :) Like these guys giving rides...

We keep hearing about this restaurant but haven't tried it...not sure if it can live up to the name! :)

Her Majesty's theater. Since 1705 there have been four theaters on this site. The current building was erected and opened in 1897 for Shakespeare productions. Today you can see Phantom of the Opera here!

Piccadilly Circus...Ripley's Believe it or Not and Lillywhites (huge sports store)

Heading down Regents Street - it was packed!! We decided not to go back here on a weekend with both kids and a big stroller!

Hamley's toy store. Brylie said she wanted all these bears for her birthday :)

She wanted a picture with this street performer. She like his music :)

Cool art on a building.

It was fun to get out and about in the city, but we were worn out and ready to go home after a while! Truett the copycat is also not smiling because he saw Brylie's face - Geoff said it was his "blue steel" face - ha!

Two cuties before church. I don't know where she is getting this whole not smiling thing, but hope she snaps out of it soon! :)
