Over the weekend we set out for a self-guided walking tour of Richmond. It is just a few train stops away and a beautiful little town on the water. The walk was supposed to be 4.5 miles, but about 2 miles in we got lost in the park and had to back track to the station to go home! :) But we got a feel for the area and got to spend some time together in the sunshine!
We finally got our camera back from the shop and I thought I had quickly adjusted my settings before we left, but something was not quite right and most of the pictures are overexposed and/or blurry! Of course I didn't realize this at the time - I can't imagine what else would have been occupying my time with a 1 and 3 year old running around! So here are a few memories, albeit poor quality, for the record :)
Before we left Brylie wanted her hair braided like Rapunzel - this was my attempt! :)

Doesn't she look so grown up??

The park is huge! We got lost looking for the children's playground and finally found it on the way back...too late then!

Brylie was happy to pose for most of the pictures :)

Thatched roof cottage (for Aunt Cassie!). It was private property so I couldn't get closer...

About two seconds after I took this picture Brylie tried to pick the flower! I was trying to explain that it is a nature reserve and we can't pick the flowers!

He would not slow down for a picture...

Some deer. Brylie cried and cried because she wanted to pet them so badly!!

Daddy showing T the deer. He was loving it! Our poor boy has a big swollen black eye - if you look close you can tell he can't open his right eye all the way...it is much better now, but still purple! He had an accident with the fireplace :(
