Weekend Activites

We were so glad to see some sun this weekend - even if it stayed in the 60's :) Saturday we attended Aggie Muster in Kensington park (park of Hyde park). For those of you who don't know what that is, it is a ceremony honoring those who have lost their lives serving our country. Aggies from all over the world have events and it dates back to when Texas A&M was a military institution. There are still several core members at A&M that go on to serve so it is still relevant today! It is also a fun way to meet up with other Aggies!

One of Geoff's co-workers helped put it together here this year and although there were only about 20 or 30 people I think it will grow in years to come :)

We had a great time hanging out and eating BBQ and socializing with other Americans! Although we missed the actual ceremony because we got lost - ha! - we were still able to hang out with everyone and enjoy the weather and company!

Sunday there was an Easter egg hunt in our park so the kids got to participate and had fun hunting and eating chocolate ;) Lots of outdoor time and even had Daddy with us all weekend - double treat!!

Saturday morning started off with some oatmeal breakfast fun...yes, this was messy but sometimes you just have to get your hands dirty ;)

All clean - a few random pics of B :)

On the way to the park, we detoured through Gloucester road. This is a ritzy kind of area (sort of like Manhattan) and a tourist spot we had not yet seen! Even the tube stop was nice!

These reminded me of the houses you see in the movies set in London :) Pretty!

Kensington park

This is where we had Aggie Muster. I forgot how friendly Aggies are - it was fun!

Everyone took turns playing with Brylie - so nice of them! And she loved it :)

Truett just wanted to pick all the grass and roll around in it.

We stopped at a little playground on the way home...they love to swing!

At "our" park Sunday afternoon for the Easter egg hunt! They had some eggs hung in the trees.

Playing around

A surprise guest - the Easter bunny! :)

If you look close you can see the delight on Brylie's face :)

So soft...all the kids just pet him :)

So instead of hiding eggs, they hid popsicle sticks all over the park. Each one had either a bunny, chick, or egg sticker on it and once you had two of each you could redeem them for a bag of chocolate candy!

The gardens are in full bloom now!

Turning in her sticks for chocolate.

She had to carry her baby the whole time and even held her up to the Easter bunny so he could see her - ha!

Tasting some chocolate

Big sis sharing...

More please!

He knows what is good :)

All in all, a fun weekend in the sun! :)
