Bright Lights Party

Halloween in London is a little different than the States (at least from my limited perspective in Wimbledon!). We think it is because people here like to dress up on a regular basis and so Halloween is no biggie :) There were a few people dressed up and I saw some kids out and about with some costumes on, but nothing like we see back at home!! We had zero trick or treaters. Geoff had gotten tickets a while back with some coworkers to an NFL game here (yes, random) so he was going to be gone...me alone with the kids + cold/rainy = no trick or treating! Luckily, our church had a "Bright Lights" party and we went to that instead! We had a good time and Brylie had fun :) I have to say, part of me was sad not to be able to get these kiddos into costume and I was just a little homesick yesterday :( But glad to have something fun to do too! Geoff said this morning that the game was disappointing and wished he had been with us instead - we will plan something fun together for next year! :)

They had different "game" stations set up and Brylie played with every one of them and loved it!

This was Truett for the first 10 minutes, then he fell asleep and was out for the duration :)

My sweet South African friends!! I met these girls within the first two weeks of being here and love them! :) From the left, Cath (with her Sam), Rob and Mary (their daughter Jessica), and Kerri (her daughter Bethany is not in the pic)

More games!

Brylie's friend Katrina :)

Face painting! (I think the girl that did it was maybe two years older than Brylie - ha! )

Our two pound cover charge included a hot dog and crisp dinner :)

The girls! :) Notice that Truett is completely passed out!
