British-isms

Okay, so I just have to list a few things about being here that are different than in America so I won't forget! I'm sure I will continue these lists as things come up or I think of them!

-there was a fox in the backyard (garden) and thanks to Disney I half expected him to start talking and singing :) there are news reports about fox attacks and I'm a little worried to keep the windows open!

-when the Brits like something they are eating they say it is beautiful or gorgeous (funny)

-they serve tea and biscuits at EVERYTHING (i love this)

-Truett's pacifier is called a "dummy"

-they really do say "cheeky monkey" - it is so funny to me because i have to remember that they are not joking - that is what they really call things!! like "hoover" for vacuum, "lift" for elevator, "nappy" for diaper, "pushcart" for stroller, "travel cot" for pack n play (this one took us a while to figure out!)

-there are 5 locks on the front door of our house and a separate lock/key for every single door and window!

-all the milk cartons are long and narrow to fit in the door of the refrigerator because there is no room in the little fridge for it to stand up inside

-all of their coffee, tea (and related pastries, ie. scones, biscuits), chocolates, cheeses are delicious!

That is all I can think of for now...:)
